APPEL Curriculum Budget Cuts

As a result of fiscal year 2008 budget cuts, APPEL has had to cancel most of our courses for the remainder of this fiscal year. We are hoping we’ll be able to meet the needs of our customers at the centers and offer a full curriculum in fiscal year 2009. Some centers are utilizing their own funding to offer APPEL courses this year. APPEL fully supports this but in order to maintain proper records and standardization of curriculum it is important that each training center make their arrangements through our prime contractor, ASRC. If you want to fund and schedule an APPEL course please contact, Katherine Thomas.

Masters Forum 16

According to practitioners who attended Masters Forum #16, the event was well worth the time they spent away from their daily responsibilities! The session, held Monday, April 21- Thursday, April 24, 2008 at the Lansdowne Resort in Northern Virginia, was attended by over 85 people including Non-NASA project managers and executives from Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and BAE Systems. In addition to practitioners sharing stories and lessons learned, the Forum was designed to take attendees back- in- time with rich and vivid examples of risk-management, decision-making and project leadership at its best.

Masters Forum #17 will be held the week of October 27-30, 2008 in the southern California region. We will post the exact location once it has been determined

Check with your Center Director to learn how you can participate!
